Movie review: Ek thi Marium:

Some of the Pakistani movies are super hit which highlight historical events and great personalities.Among them one of the heart touching is “Ek thi Marium’, written by Humira Ahmed;Faizan Imtiaz is the Editor:Produced by Nina Kashif.

   Main characters are Sanam Baloch,Behroze Sabzwari,Hina Bayat,Shermeen Kashif and Hadi bin Arshad. However,the telefilm is didicated to the first female martyred Flying officer of Pakistan who is known as ‘Marium Muktiar’.And Sanam Baloch play her role excellently.

   It starts with a happy family consist of few members who care about each other happiness.Marium who wanted to be a flying officer from childhood got her mission succeeded. While she became adult,she got admission at engineering university which was the wish of her parents for her.Unfortunetly, she couldn’t give her best since it was the interested profession of her.Finally she expressed her desires Infront of her parents after one term of engineering.Her father insists not to join air force as it is very tough.But Maruim was ready to bear everything to fulfill her dream.

     After having support of her parents, soon she qualified in PAF being topper in the test and viva.While she went for the training,at the first term, they got very hard tasks.Duration of such difficult activities at once Maruim felt that she has chosen a wrong profession.When she tries to convince her mother to step back,then Her Mother motivates her by saying that it was her own choice.Further,she said now you are not only my daughter but also the daughter of the soil.She steps toward her destination with the full courage of her parents.

Additionally, she did first flying mission successfully.But it was her first and last success, because in second flying mission she couldn’t control the aeroplane and ejected the plan far from fertile land that human bodies must not be harmed.

Thus,she sacrificed her life for her nation;was ready mentally for such hardship and got “Thamgai Rasalath”.As well her parents were given high rank of respect.So, the movie attracts everyone by its lesson and shows every parents to sacrifice their ‘Maruim’ for their land.
