The solar system __Planets, Moon and Eclipse

The universe means everything that exists. It won’t be wrong to elaborate that the universe contains 100 billion galaxies. However, it is as big that even scientists had to invent a new unit to measure it that is Light Year; the distance light travels in one year (9.46 million Km). A galaxy is a huge mass of stars and Earth is a part of it called the Milky Way.

The planets of the Solar system

Countable planets are available in the solar system that is eight which travels around the Sun. As Sun is in its exact position and all planets orbit around it. Besides this, Pluto lies beyond Neptune. It’s status as the ninth planet in 2006. But now the scientists are classified as a (dwarf planet). Mercury the nearest planet to Sun which is the hottest one; Jupiter which has 61 moons, is the biggest planet. Further ado, they do not have their own light and they take brightness from Sun. So, all the planets are called non-Luminous. To their opposite Sun is named Luminous for having its own light.

However, the planets follow elliptical paths when one planet or moon blocks light from another. Moon orbits some planets like Earth. Only Earth appears to be capable of supporting life as we live in it.

The Moon and eclipses

Moon is considered the Earth’s natural satellite. It orbits the earth in the same way as the earth and other planets around the Sun. Likely, it is known to be the nearest neighbor in space and the only other part of the solar system that has been visited by humans. It rotates once at the same time as it takes to complete one orbit of the earth. This means the moon always keeps the same side facing the earth. The dark side can only be seen from space. Thus, the moon does not have lightness rather Sun brightness is reflected in it. Additionally, the moon is smaller than the earth and has a rocky-created surface.
