People of Mand Need To Be Educated

(Education, the key towards success)

Mand which is very close to the border of Iran is understood as the center of trade not only in Balochistan but also throughout Pakistan. People take around 15 kilometers to approach the Iranian border by car. This area is famed in terms of both business and trade which our country has been paying special attention to strengthen its national economy. But, it is unfortunate to utter that this Islamic state of Pakistan and its provincial government above all minister of education failed to pay heed to the education system in Mand which is very tawdry and shoddy.

Mand which is known as the city of Mula Fazul, one of the prominent and high-brow poets in Balochistan, lacks having quality education which needs to be focused on by the government. Students from Government Boys High School Soro protested against school administration virtually a month ago because most of the teachers were not attending the classes. Despite being disappointed with the school principal, they took a peaceful protest so that their demands would be fulfilled.

The aggrieved claimed that most of the teachers are not present in school. They are not serious about our future which will not be safe, they said. The school administration said that new teachers will be provided, but neither appointed teachers are ready to teach nor new teachers are about to come here and teach the students. Waiting for the provision of teachers has been a dream for us, said the hopeless students.

On the other hand, parents have been playing a role in deteriorating children's education in the Mand part of Balochistan because they are carefree. They have to educate their children about the value of education and make them aware of education without which life is hard to be survived. As per the senior teachers at Lead English language Center Soro Mand, parents don't focus on their children's education because of which children are missing every two days of each week at Lead English Language center Soro Mand. Students are often asked in the class, they reply that they went to picnic or went somewhere else with their parents. Here it is clear that parents are destroying their children's lives themselves. During a debate on the increase of absentees at language centers, leading teachers have sanguinely talked over that people in Mand are materialistic and offer more value to money as compared to education which is recognized as the third eye of human beings. Also, this materialistic thought has thrown a great impact on children's life which resulted that most of the students including male students being interested in earning money rather than learning at a language center. They are dependent upon border trade which is usually closed due to security reasons, said the government.

In conclusion, the government especially the minister of education of Balochistan should take a walk-up call against those teachers who don't give their duties in governmental schools. However, parents in Mand should invest more in their children's education. Parents should focus on children's absentees and they should let female students dream of their choices as well.
