Shortage of Textbooks|| An alarming issue

The current academic year in the Balochistan province started on the first of March. The lack of textbooks in public sector schools is alarming. Due to this the precious time of the students is wasted purposelessly. On the one hand, the government’s claim of timely provision of textbooks to schools across the province is vague. On the other hand, it shows negligence on the part of concerned authorities who failed to ensure the timely provision of textbooks as soon as before the commencement of the new Academy year.

It is contended that before the textbooks were published by local publishers. However, the publication of textbooks is handed over to publishers from Sindh and Punjab. The late provision of the textbooks results in difficulties for students to complete their assignments and do self-study without course books. 

Therefore I request the government to look into this matter seriously on an immediate basis.
