Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) is an assistance program offered to poor people which was launched in July 2008. It is a cash help to household women in the majority. This program contains a budget of approximately 90 billion Rupees. BISP is the largest program in Pakistan and it is the third budgetary procedure of the government of Pakistan.

The main purpose of this program is to reduce the poverty in Pakistan, but unfortunately, in March 2019 its nomenclature was changed to Ehsaas program. On December 24th, 2019, the PTI government removed 600000 people from the Benazir income support program (BISP) which not only brought unrest situations but tortured the poor people emotionally and financially. The exclusion of certain needy people will have its negative impacts. The recent government needs to look into this matter as a top priority.

I request the government to restore Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) and include all those who are needy at the moment.
