The average inflation rate was 8.2% per
year for the duration of 1960 to 2021. 11,207.52% was the increase in price but at the
beginning of 2022, 11,307.52 was the rate. Furthermore, the yearly
inflation rate in Pakistan increased to 27.3% in August of 2022. Besides this,
in October of 2022, it increased to 26.6% from the previous month. And the core
upward pressures came from housing and utilities.
(11.92% vs 3.4% in September), food &
non-alcoholic beverages (36.2% vs 31.7%), restaurants & hotels (30.4% vs
28.8%), alcoholic beverages & tobacco (34.63 vs 32.7%).
