Education in doldrums

Balochistan is the province of Pakistan. It is also rich in a number of natural resources such as iron, copper, gold, silver, zinc, chromite, gypsum, and many more. However, the people of Balochistan struggle to get the basic needs of life. Such as water, shelter, and food. The educational system in the province is a complete failure.

There are approximately 125,000 schools in Balochistan of which 7000 are without roofs, doors, chairs, and other basic facilities. Life in rural parts of the province is a curse. A single teacher manages more than two classes at a time which is hectic for him and meaningless for the students. There is also a lack of knowledge resources such as libraries, professional teachers, and proper assessment systems.

Another hindrance to quality education is cheating in exams. Due to a poor check and balance system. Students have become accustomed to cheating rather than using their own skills. The authorities concerned must take practical steps to resolve these issues immediately.
