The Kid and the Cat

Her eyes were red and filled with tears. She was lost in someone’s thoughts. Her hair was spreading on her shoulders. She was not in this world. She was waiting for someone for a long time. Her eyes were catching sight of a crowd of people who were wandering on the western side of the village. She was cursing herself to be helpless. Everything was tasteless for her as love, friendship, world, imaginary nature, and many more.

She was observing a helpless child who was rambling around the street near the house. The child wore torn clothes, was barefoot, carving for a shelter, and looked at a group of children playing near the village. He wanted to join them, but couldn’t reach there. He cried a lot but no one came out to help him. He thought that the residents had migrated for a long time.

While he was looking at them, suddenly a cat came to him and he started to look at it pityingly. For a while, the kid forgot his loneliness and they both stayed for a small moment. The cat was lost in deep thought to observe the innocent child. The cat wished to put questions about his loneliness, but couldn’t speak.

The sun was about in the middle over their heads, and their bodies were washed in perspiration like a bath. They wanted to enter someone’s house, but they were locked at the spot entirely. They tried to hide under the shady trees but their branches were seared due to the scorching weather.

The girl was watching them for a long duration.

“O’ mankind, you are too cruel!” She said innocently. Where is that who promised multiple times to His creatures when He creates someone, then takes the responsibility, but I do not see Him? Show your humanity.” She claimed helplessly.

Her tears were dropping from her eyes. After that, she approached them (kid and cat) and hugged the child, and kissed him as well. She took the child with the cat and started moving toward a house which was made up of mud and situated around a forest. Her residence was too far from the village where the unfaithful residents lived. They started their lives together then and gave love to each other.
