Balochistan is a province of
Pakistan and the largest province among all provinces. But it is the least
populated province. The area of Balochistan is around 40 percent of the total
area of Pakistan.
Geography of Balochistan
Balochistan is located in the southeastern
part of the Iranian Plateau. The Northeast side of Balochistan is Punjab and KPK,
Northwest Afghanistan, West Iran, East Sindh province, and the southeast Arabian Sea
are located.

Balochistan
is the biggest province of Pakistan by area. The total area of Balochistan is
347,190 kilometers and the Population of Balochistan is 12.34 million. The capital
of Balochistan is Quetta. There are seven divisions, thirty-five districts, one
thirty-six Tehsils, and eighty-eight union councils in Balochistan. There are
thirty National Assembles seats in Balochistan and there are sixty-five
Provincial assembly members in Balochistan.
Out
of the 12.34 million total population of Balochistan, around 52 percent population
is Baloch and 36 percent are Pashtuns while the remaining 12 percent comprises
smaller communities, Hazaras, Sindhis, Punjabis, Uzbeks, and Turkmens.
Minerals of Balochistan
Pakistan
has huge amounts of minerals deposits, but most of them are found in the Balochistan province. It is the third biggest province where most gold is
found. Allah Almighty has given
different types of minerals to Balochistan province. Some are listed below;
Gold,
Copper, Marble, gas, Sulphur, and many more. The gas of Balochistan is being
provided to all over Pakistan.
Divisions
of Balochistan comprise districts
The
seven divisions have a different number of districts, populations, and areas.
Kalat
Division
The districts come under the Kalat division
which are, Awaran, Kalat, Khuzdar, Lasbela, Mastung, and Shaheed Sikandar Abad
districts. The area of Kalat Division is 140,612 while the population is 250930.
Mekran Division
District
Gwadar, Kech, and Panjgur come under the Mekran division. The population of Makran
Division is 489015 and the area is 60,761 sq KM.
Naseerabad Division
The
districts of Naseer Abad are five which are Kachi, Jaffarabad, Jhal Magsi,
Naseer Abad and Sohbatpur district. The total is 16946 km while the population
is 1591144.
Quetta Division
The districts of the Quetta division are Killa
Abdullah, Pishin, and Quetta district. The population is 4174562 and the area is
64,310 km.
Sibi Division
Six
divisions come under this division, Sibi, Kohlu, Dera Bugti, Ziarat, Harnai, and
Lehri. The population is 1038010 while the area is 27,055km.
Zhob Division
The
number of districts in this division are seven which are, Barkhan, Killa
Saifullah, Loralai, Musakhel, Sherani, Zhob, and Duki district. The area of this
division is 46,200km and the population is 1542447.
Rakhshan Division
District
chaghi, Washuk, Nushki, and Kharan are part of this division. The area is
89,013 km and the population is 737162.
