The old man and the sea is a short novel written by Ernest Hemingway.  This novel was published in 1954 and after the publication this novel Ernest Hemingway got Nobel Prize for literature. Ernest Hemingway is a great author whose writing is quite simple and beautiful. The old man and the sea is a meaningful novel that is based on belief, commitment, and determination. The story of the novel starts when the old fisherman goes to sea for 84 days without catching a single fish which is very unfortunate for the fisherman.

But the old man does not quit and continues to try. Finally, the commitment of the old fisherman makes him successful as he was determined not to give up. I got a great lesson from this novel that if an old man can get to his destination why not we. The only thing that makes a person successful is the commitment, belief, and determination of that person. I suggest everyone to read this motivational novel and be committed to doing anything in life.
