No doubt, Thalassemia is a nightmare for most people
in Balochistan. As it’s a genetic disease that is caused by marriage within the
families. And there are nearly 1,735: cases of Thalassemia Major registered in
Quetta. Thalassemia is one of the most common genetic diseases and it is 1.5%
of the world population.
Secondly, there are 2,000 children with
Thalassemia in Balochistan, and Thalassemia is caused by mutations in the DNA
of cells that make hemoglobin.
Hence, I would like to request the government
to arrange a separate organization team for Thalassemia children and do a campaign
in which people can donate blood for these children and save their precious
life.
