On 31 July the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) reported that "The floods took 434 deaths (including 175 children and 73 women) and 605 people have been injured since 1st July 2022. On the other hand, more than 36,469 households have been affected, of which 60% are in Balochistan." In the same manner, more than 29,067 houses have been partially damaged and another 7,402 homes have been fully damaged.

In addition, around 800 schools (600 in Balochistan alone) 71 bridges, and 977 km of road sections have been affected across the country. The point is not how many people died or were injured only in this year.  The point is why the people of Balochistan die yearly from floods. If we see the reality more people have died and been injured but they have not been reported.

The reason is that when a flood takes place the quantity of water becomes higher and there won't be enough space to store it so that water starts overflowing through cities and villages which destroys everything. In order to control and store water government must build dams which have several benefits.

Therefore, Govt of Balochistan is requested that she must take immediate action and build quality dams. On this, the flood threat vanishes to the people of Balochistan and thousands of lives are saved.
