Birds to human
beings certainly have their own languages to express their emotions, feelings, and thoughts.
Apart from this, blind people who can hear
but cannot see, have also a language of their own, which is known as ‘Braille language:
However, it was invented by a French man named ' Valentine Hauy.
Once he was passing by a dark street towards
his house. A blind beggar begged money, then he gave him a franc, money of
France which had value that time. Valentine moved ahead of some steps. The beggar
called him out and reached to him. After being close to him, the blind beggar
uttered to him” Sir, you have done a mistake, you have given me a franc replace
of sou”. Valentine was astonished by him as he told about his blindness.
The meanwhile, Valentine inquired how could he recognize the difference between sou and franc.? The blind beggar
responded that he could know about it just bypassing the fingers to the
surface of the money. The statement of him became a flash in Valentine’s brain.
All the way towards home, he was thinking about blind people that if they can
recognize the difference of money, why not a raised mark, dots, or any figure?
After that, he began working for the blind. A blind boy from Church brought and became his first student to instruct him in the institution by the support of public contribution.
On account of his effort, every blind was
able to read and recognize. The formula of their language was set up via raised
dots. Each alphabet contains six dots but has a different method of raising dots
to learn it easily.
Besides this, another French man ‘Louis
Braille' who became blind at the age of three. He was not only studied Braille but
also wrote books in the Braille language. Thus, at the present time, several books in
Braille can be seen which are marked with dots on stiff papers. Books for the blind
are thicker than other ordinary books because they have space.
Every individual has the right to achieve
education in life. And the personalities who created such admirable method must
be saluted.
