Drug addiction in Pakistan
Drug addiction is defined as compulsive and out-of-control drug use despite negative consequences. In the last few days, drug addiction has increased exponentially in Pakistan. Most of the illegal drugs come from the neighboring county of Afghanistan. According to estimates, millions of people use drugs. Cannabis is the most used drug. Secondly, the ratio of Injection drug abuse has also increased significantly in Pakistan. The report also revealed that people from age 15 to 64 use prescription drugs for nonmedical purposes. Although, the increase in the problem has been alarming the government response has been minimal at best.
Therefore, I would like to request the government agency to stop drug smuggling
in Pakistan.
