Analyzing the national curriculum of Pak studies 2006 (grades 9th and 10th)
The national curriculum of Pakistan
clarifies the compulsory subject of (Pakistan-studies) for grades IX-X. It
greatly focuses on the fundamental factors of Pakistan. The National Education
Policy (NEP) empresses all information about our country and its three
constitutions and their enforcement. However, this provides the beauteous view
to understanding the students of creation of their motherland means Pakistan and also
to contribute short statement history regarding Pakistan and its ideology,
culture, geography, politics, economic, social interaction, national affairs, and others aspect.
Objectives
= The aim of this; everyone to become the gratitude to the Almighty of Allah to have
an independent homeland.
= Encourage the traits of observation, the creativity of analyzing in students.
= To clear the learners about each aspect of their country.
=To provide basic information regarding their land.
= To promote the ideology of Pakistan and to appear the huge struggle among Muslims
for an independence
Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies play a very important role to determine every
student and promoting the learning of students. This National Curriculum includes
four teaching strategies such as; Lecturer method discussion strategy,
cooperative learning, and inquiry. Moreover, the teaching methods are an important
role to develop tremendous learning. Most students can be interested in studying using various teaching strategies by the teacher.
Content
The national curriculum of Pakistan for the subject of compulsory Pak studies is greatly good for 9th and 10th class students. However, they can learn
the developed curriculum in this compulsory subject. It is easy for these level
students because the aspect of the content is clear. After, two years they
completely will be aware of Pakistan. It covers some specific areas for the
grades of 9th and 10th. The following; contents have appeared.
Definition, sources of ideology, basis of ideology the special references of
Islam and its values, two-nation theory of Ilma Iqbal and Quida-i-Azam, making
of Pakistan, movement of Pakistan (1940- 47), Pakistan resolution (1940), the
creation of Pakistan (1947), geographical features, history of Pakistan, the importance
of three constitutions, Ayub khan's era, Yahya khan's reforms, Zia era, and
General Pervez Musharraf’s era, economic development, population, society and
culture of Pakistan, evaluation and assessment 2006, National Curriculum contains two portions of study quantitative and
qualitative which provide different tools that are easy for
understanding. The nation curriculum aims for assessment to evaluate teaching and learning. Rightly, the National Curriculum of 2006 and its
assessment clear that the curriculum should be according to the need of
curriculum design. It would improve the learning level of students. The 2006's
curriculum follows some crucial assessments like,

• The selected-response
Guidelines for the development of teaching-learning resolution
This portion of the national curriculum of Pakistan in 2006 was designed
beautifully with some basic features, teaching aids or resources, and teaching
guides. In addition, these are very helpful for teachers to teach effectively of compulsory subjects.

The national curriculum of Pakistan studies for the grades of (9th and 10th),
2006, based on the Tyler model:
The national curriculum was developed based on the Tyler model because it covers the
objectives, content, and teaching strategies. The objective clarifies that after studying the chapters all will be the mentioned chapters. Moreover, the
objectives concerned determining the tools, ideas, and information that are
received or gained by students and transferred by a teacher or not. Next, it
focuses on the contents that are greatly designed deliciously. Its contents are
developed well, they are readable for these levels and grades students. On the others hand, also this national curriculum exposes the teaching strategies
which are completely beneficial for teachers to teach effectively and transfer
knowledge to the students. Eventuality, the national curriculum of 2006 of
Pakistan in the perception of essential subject Pak-studies which was developed
for the class of 9th and 10th class students. It is completely designed well
and this is very important for this level of the learner. The national curriculum
contributes fundamental tools for the learners. Such as; the creation of Pakistan,
land location, ideology, objective resolution and etc.
