The book,” 21 lessons
for the 21st century” by Yuval Noah Harari is about our lives daily life. In
the 21st century, manifold changes came into our lives and changed our
lifestyles. It becomes possible due to technology which is rapidly progressing
day by day. It is very effective because our time is being saved by dint of it.
On the other hand, it is hazardous for us.
However, this
book describes 21 lessons with proof and detail. These all lessons are
associated with our life. What is occurring in the universe and how technology
has changed our life? These all questions have been well expressed in this
lucrative book. The writer is not complacent with the 21st century in which
technology has changed humanists completely. According to Harari, the first
thing to be considered is that before people used to meet in grassy places and
discussed everything but nowadays they are connected with social media. Apart
from this, he says whenever you go applying for a job then be serious and put
your all efforts into acquiring it. He stated that if you are jobless then find
the mystery of being jobless. Further, Harari asserts that computers run faster
than minds, and nowadays it is astonishing that robots are doing work for
people. The writer often thinks that in 2050, who will be here robots or
people?
There is no
need for workers and sometimes instead of people robots are being used. It is
the major cause of being unemployed. Moreover, he ponders that the meaning of
liberty is a state of being free. Therefore, we should elect an adequate leader
for our nation by voting. Apart from this, this book defines that our society
is unequal and everybody considers themselves superior to others. Further, he
says that our relations are declining after the arrival of social media such as
Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram.
Harari says we
are busy conveying fake messages to others and devastating our precious time.
He honestly believes that education is the only thing that can take us to the
valley of success. He emphasizes on this thing that we should know the meaning
of our life. At last, I suggest you read this lucrative book a once because it
is a treasure of thoughts and information.
