Islamic
history is full of such personalities whose sacrifices can’t be denied since
they brought a revolutionary change in this world. Mohamed bin Qasim is one of
the Islamic commanders who open the gateway of Islam in the subcontinent. 712 CE He
not only blessed the people of the sub-continent with the light of Islam but also laid
Islamic reigns which continued for almost more than 11 decades, and end in the
war of independence 1857, the last mogul empire, "Bahadur Shah Zafar,
The
young journalist Mohamed bin Qasim was born in Taif 694 AD in Taif, his father was
the Governor of Bursa. In Mohamed's early life his father left the world, he
couldn't complete his education for his meager family income, so he joined the Damascus army, he was an attractive speaker and a good commander, so he
achieved success in every mission.
Mohammad bin Qasim conquered Sindh with its
many areas and imposed Islamic rules in the area, at that time the governor of Damascus was
Hajaj bin Youssef, but after the death of the caliph Waleed bin Abdul Malik and his successor was Suleiman bin Abdul Malik who opposed Hajaj bin Youssef
and he called all the commanders who he appointed and put them behind the bar.
So Mohamed bin Qasim was one of them. So he died at the age of 22 years. The
news of death prevailed in Sindh, which put the people in grieves.
His contributions made him immortal forever.
