Islam teaches Muslims to treat their
neighbors with kindness and respect. Not only to Muslim neighbors but also to non-Muslims.
Neighbors have a lot of rights; e.g. whenever
a new dish is baked, they must share it with them because when they feel the
smell of that dish, they might not afford it. Apart from this, while our
neighbors send any kind of gifts then we must not ignore them but rather thank
them.
If anyone sees their neighbor is ill or
sick then must ask for help or comfort them by doing home chores. Attending funeral
prayers is also included in the rights of neighbors.
As Muslims, we should give charity to the closest
neighbors who are in need and later on distribute things to others. If
everyone takes care of the basic needs of neighbors surely no one needs to go
outside or very far for begging. The writer greatly quoted “A good neighbor is
a welcome blessing.”
Thus, it is from my heart and soul requested
to all of the citizens complete their rights towards neighbors which is very
essential.
