This book is written by one of the most
loved and known authors in the world. Khalil Gibran, he was born on June 6 1883
in Lebanon. He was a poet, author, philosopher, and painter. He wrote many books.
Which are the eye of the prophet, the broken wings of the madman and etc. This book is
one of his best books of him. He died on April 10, 1931. This book got published
on 1923: This book was translated into twenty languages.
The book is divided into seventy chapters.
Like Dealing with life, mother, teaching and knowledge, love money as well
death, and many more. The first chapter is dealing with life is a chapter about a
man full of wisdom namely AL Mustafa who lived with the people of a small
village the story began when he decided to leave his native place then they
started to ask lots of questions about life.
They asked about everything from
love to pain, family to work, soon. Further, he views his personal experience
that life is like an island lost in the ocean of solitude. An island where the
mountains are our hopes and trees are our dreams. Sometimes, life is the name
of suffering and facing difficulties which are part of our loneliness. After
that when he was asked about his mother then he smiled and told her.
The one without whom life is
incomplete and whose company is most precious. Moreover, the most important
chapter which I like the most is teaching and knowledge, because it is being
said that before teaching others, firstly educate yourself. You should become
an example instead of teaching them with words and knowledge always grows your
roots and never sows them. According to the author, money and love are the same they kill the man slowly who keeps them.
The most favorite lines from the
book are that, when you love, you should not say, God, is in my heart rather
say," I am in the heart of God" Nevertheless, it is a remarkable book
that is all about the important questions about life to death. Life is the
combination of sorrows, happiness, success, and failure whereas death is the
ultimate part of life. Keep reading this book in every walk of your life
because the more you read it you get more information.
