This is a prominent novel written by the well-known Jonthen Swift. Gulliver's Travels is the story of Lemuel character, an operating surgeon who takes to the seas. He completes several voyages while not incident. However, his final four journeys take him to a number of the strangest lands on the earth, wherever he discovers the virtues and flaws in his own culture by comparing it with others. A storm destroys the ship, going away character because of the sole survivor of the wreck. He washes up on the shores of Lilliput. an island inhabited by individuals solely six inches tall. Clearly petrified of the large in their thick, the Lilliputians keep character restrained with ropes and chains till he proves he are often sure.

            The emperor of this land calls on a character to assist him to defeat his enemy country, Blefuscu, and the character obliges by taking Blefuscu's entire navy. Though Gulliver is hailed as a hero in Lilliput. Moreover, things flip bitter once he becomes too friendly with the ambassadors who discuss peace with Blefuscu, and once he puts out a fireplace within the emperor's palace by urinating thereon. Charged with treason, the character flees to Blefuscu and leaves behind each island in an exceeding boat he finds inadvertently. He encounters an English ship and returns home to his family in a European country. On the other hand, Gulliver doesn't lodge in the home for long and sets out on another journey that leaves him stranded in an exceedingly land referred to as Brobdingnag, inhabited by giants. A farmer's family takes in Gulliver, but soon shortly the farmer works Gulliver nearly to death by swinging him on the show and creating him to perform for audiences everywhere in the country.

            Once the queen sees Gulliver she offers to buy Gulliver from the farmer, who accepts her supply. She conjointly takes the farmer's female offspring, Gulliver's caretaker Glumdalclitch, into her service. the character lives for 2 agonizing years within the Brobdingnagian court, his small size swings him at the mercy of larger creatures at each flip. On an outing to the beach, a bird picks up Gulliver's carrying box and drops it into the ocean. Another English vessel finds the box afloat in the water, and also the crew returns the character home once more.

Within weeks of his homecoming, however, the character accepts a voyage to the East Indies. Once pirates take Gulliver's ship, he's set adrift and finally ends up on a deserted island. He's noticed by inhabitants of the floating island of a mythical place and brought to the Laputans' town within the sky. There he finds a race of men altogether involved with theoretical matters and perpetually absorbed in logical thinking. Though he's treated well, the character grows bored and ventures to the land below the mythical place, Balnibarbi. On Balnibarbi's character learns however a bit of information is often a dangerous issue, as he sees projectors, men WHO are concisely educated in a mythical place, decide to improve life in their country through a series of absurd scientific theories and experiments. Furthermore, Gulliver grows bored and ventures to the land below Laputa, Balnibarbi. 

        On Balnibarbi Gulliver learns how a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing, as he sees projectors, men who have been briefly educated in Laputa, attempting to improve life in their country through a series of absurd scientific theories and experiments. Gulliver grows frustrated and travels to the nearby island of Glubbdubdrib, where the governor uses his magical powers to allow Gulliver to converse with dead figures from history. Gulliver moves on to Luggnagg, where he learns that the potential cost of immortality is a lifetime of unending old age, and then returns to England by way of Japan and Holland.

        After a few months when Gulliver's returned home, he's offered the possibility to captain a voyage, therefore he prompts once more. Gulliver's crew mutinies and leaves him on an island inhabited by intelligent horses referred to as Houyhnhnms and primitive humans referred to as Yahoos.    

        Gulliver fears the Yahoos and finds camaraderie with the Houyhnhnms, although the Houyhnhnms never fully accept Gulliver because they believe he, too, is a Yahoo.  Gulliver lives well along with his Houyhnhnm master and his family for 3 years, learning the Houyhnhnm language and clasp the Houyhnhnm philosophy of living by principles of pure reason. He involves hates his own Yahoo heritage and vows ne'er to come back to the European country, however, the Houyhnhnm leaders decide a Yahoo cannot stick out a Houyhnhnm family, and that they solid him out of their society. character builds a ship with the intent of selecting a deserted island and avoiding the Yahoo world of Europe, however, he's saved by a Portuguese ship and returns once more to his family in the European country. He spends years readjusting to life among the Yahoos and finds he prefers his horses' company to his wife's.
