Dengue cases continue to rise at an
alarming rate in several cities in Punjab. According to the Health
Department, a total of 16,844 dengue virus cases have been reported and a dozen
people have died from dengue complications.
Meanwhile, more than 50 cases have been
reported from Rawalpindi where 36 patients are reported to be receiving
treatment at three government hospitals.
The city appears to be bracing itself for yet
another major dengue outbreak as health experts warn of the increased
presence.
Finally, a large number of citizens have
complained that no fumigation has been carried out in their areas.
