I am a student enrolled at Government Girls Degree College Turbat, residing in the town of Jusak. Unfortunately, we are facing a significant issue when it comes to accessing transportation. There is currently no viable transportation system in place for female students hailing from Jusak. As a result, we find ourselves forced to rely on expensive taxi services, paying a hefty sum of 3000 rupees per month for transportation alone. This financial burden has become increasingly unaffordable for many of us.
One of the excuses given for not providing a dedicated bus service was the supposedly low number of students from Jusak. However, we firmly believe that this excuse holds no merit. The population of female students from Jusak is substantial enough to warrant the provision of a bus service. It's essential to understand that not all students come from affluent backgrounds and can readily afford these costly transportation arrangements.
Jusak is home to a community of residents who often struggle to earn a livelihood on a daily
basis. Given this challenging economic landscape, providing education to their daughters becomes a daunting task when the existing transportation system is so unreliable and unaffordable. We've made every effort to address this issue, engaging with our college principal and the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Turbat.
Regrettably,
our endeavors have not yielded any positive outcomes. Both the college
principal and the DC stated that we should take our concerns to the political
representatives in our area, as they seemed unable to provide us with a
much-needed bus service – a notion that was difficult for us to comprehend.
In
response, our parents initiated meetings with local political figures, hoping
to find a solution to this problem. However, we were met with a frustrating
cycle, as the political figures directed us back to the DC, who, in turn,
redirected us to the college principal. We felt like pawns in a never-ending
game of bureaucracy.
This ongoing struggle and apparent lack of concern are severely dampening the enthusiasm of many talented and intelligent students, including myself. Access to education is a fundamental right, and the current situation hampers our ability to pursue knowledge and personal growth.
With a fervent and hopeful plea, we kindly request the relevant authorities to address the pressing issue of transportation for female students from Jusak.
By
providing a dedicated bus service, you will not only alleviate the financial
burden on students and their families but also enable us to attend college with
joy and determination, fostering our educational and personal development.
